About Vijaya
What is Kalaripayattu?
Kalari - The place where we practice, Payattu - Exercise of Skills
Kuchipudi is one of the eight Indian classical dance forms, originating from the South Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. Known for its fast movements and complex rhythmic music, Kuchipudi dance form is truly graceful and intricate.
About Parampara
The importance of tradition with its pristine Glory is recognised in all cultures. It assumes special significance in the Indian context with reference particularly to classical performing arts – Dance, drama and music. The word ‘Parampara’ suggests, even more powerfully, a rich origin of these arts along with their spiritual significance, their continuing enrichment through practice and, like a river, their flowing into and influencing the times we have been living in. The academy is recognized as the only center in Gujarat to impart dance training leading to a ten year diploma in Bharatanatyam from Sarfojiraje Bhosale Centre affiliated to GoM’s Kavi Kulguru Kalidas University, Nagpur. The students at the academy are also trained in Kalaripayattu as part of extracurricular.
